Nuno Marceliano is the founder of Equitar Horses and Courela dos Concelhos, a stud farm specializing in breeding high-quality Lusitano horses.
Born in Almada - Portugal, Nuno has a successful career in advertising and event production, working with internationally renowned brands in several countries.
Despite his professional success, Nuno's great passion has always been Lusitano horses. From a young age, he had a strong connection with these majestic animals and decided to follow his dream of breeding horses. In 2017, Nuno founded Courela dos Concelhos, a stud farm that has been recognized for its quality and excellence in breeding Lusitano horses. In 2023 he founded Equitar Horses with a team of professionals and specialists in breeding, teaching and caring for horses. Courela dos Concelhos and Equitar Horses aim to establish themselves as a benchmark in the world of Lusitano horses.
Nuno has a personal commitment to the preservation of the Lusitano breed and works tirelessly to ensure that his horses receive the best possible care and instruction. He is a passionate advocate of the beauty, elegance and intelligence of Lusitano horses, and his work at Courela dos Concelhos and Equitar Horses is a testament to his commitment to keeping this magnificent breed alive and strong.

I've always had a connection with horses through my father, which contributed to my career choice. Between 2009 and 2010 I decided that I wanted to go into this area professionally, so I trained in Abrantes as a Grade II Riding Coach. After graduating, I started my career at Lusitanos d'Atela, where I gained a lot of knowledge under the guidance of Francisco Bessa de Carvalho and the rider Salvador Pessanha. I later joined the young dressage horses project where I was mentored by Olympic riders Daniel Pinto, Miguel Ralão and others. Throughout my career, I faced some obstacles and challenges in order to achieve my goals, overcoming them through a lot of dedication to the horses and with the help of my mentors and support team. Competition has always been my main focus as a professional, but regardless of this, all the horses in my charge are worked on regularly so that they develop and evolve their characteristics in a correct and healthy way.
